This "situation comedy" television program was telecast from 1978 through 1982. The program was a spin-off from Happy Days, from one 1978 episode in which an alien from the planet "Ork" landed on Earth and attempted to kidnap Richie. Robin Williams played the alien "Mork from Ork" - a nutty character - and was so popular that the network created the spin-off series that fall.
The plot of the Mork and Mindy show revolved around the fact that Mork was sent to Earth to study the customs. Mindy befriended him and helped him to adjust to Earthling customs.
The major on-going characters of the program were:
Mork - Robin Williams
Mindy McConnell - Pam Dawber
Frederick McConnell (Mindy's father) - Conrad Janis
Cora Hudson (Mindy's grandmother) - Elizabeth Kerr
The bilingual edition of the game was produced by Parker Brothers in 1979, and donated to the Museum in 1991.
The game featured a number of images related to the show. In the upper left is "Orson's Egg". The "Egg" was the shape of the space ship that Mork used to come to Earth. "Orson" was a voice only character on "Ork" that Mork reported to at the conclusion of each episode. Each of the segments on the board indicated specified player activity related to events from the show.
