This Bilboquet is a a ring and pin game. It is a stylized version, in that the"ring" is a ball with a hole in it. A player throws the tethered ball into the air and catches it on the pin as the ball falls.
This Bilboquet was donated to the Museum in 1972, and acquired by the donor in Peru. The game is machine made of wood. The pin is 8.2cm long x 1.3cm in diameter. The solid wooden ball is 3.5cm in diameter with a hole on one side, and tethered with a 37cm string attached on the other side. The other end of the string is tied around the center of the pin.
